Post Wages
Does anyone think that there is discrimination by companies like Stagecoach and First when their driver pay is so different between depots? Sometimes it can be nearly £2 difference an hour.
Driver are employed to drive buses, any bus so there is no discrimination in the job, just the wages.
Local authorities had to make massive pay outs to people who were discriminated in the workplace, wages were 'normalised' across Scotland.

Post Re: Wages
Of course it is, as a relative newbie you are still in charge of the same big vehicle still carrying the same passengers but paid somewhere between £2&£3 less for this pleasure. When I started with fig my fellow drivers had just voted on a three year pay deal which meant it would have taken a minimum of 6 years to get to the top rate if ever. And that was your fellow driver who brought that in. What the bus industry needs is a decent union.
